Stirling Marathon Training Update….

Well we managed 20.5 miles this morning, 😊 so the week of rest, post injury and treatment has worked wonders. I must admit I was extremely nervous as have not had an injury like this before, so when we stepped out of the car in Dollar at just after 8am this morning to run back to Bridge of Allan, with a few detours to make up the miles, Coffee Bothy featuring prominently….It was with trepidation to say the least. Fortunately Karen Fletcher our team coach…( there are only 3 of us but that makes a team 😄) , knows what she’s talking about when it comes to getting both Julie and myself through this experience..I am also liking the advice being given from a certain Mr Hector on the Stirling Triathlon Club blog..very concise!..

For us it’s the last long run and it’s now tapering all the way. At this point the team has to disband  temporarily until I return from Cape Cod on the 18th but plan to do lots of solo runs by the sea over the next couple of weeks and will post some pics of a slightly different training environment..So the really important message here is..Don’t give up!.

Keep going. Listen to your body and be sensible. It’s only another three weeks..If I can do it, you certainly can.
